Roots, passion and style
Douglas Romanow cut his teeth in the music industry by playing keyboards and writing for indie bands as a teenager. He developed skills as an arranger and programmer, and in his early twenties he was already taking the helm of recording projects. He produced recordings at Phase One Studies, Metalworks, Grant Avenue Studio, and Sounds Interchange.
Doug’s greatest talent lies in magnifying artists’ performances; he delivers the best representation of each artist he works with. His passion for songwriting is equaled only by his love for sonic landscapes, and he works tirelessly to integrate lyrics, arrangement, and setting. Douglas is known for his musicality, his clear and amiable leadership style, his strong communication skills and his dry sense of humour. He lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his wife and two daughters.
Some of Douglas’ corporate clients include Nokia, Cineplex Odeon, Gypsy Audio and Muskoka Woods Resort. He is represented by Jake Gold at The Management Trust.
