Recent Works

Producing Cadence Grace: I’m mostly through the first three tracks.  Heading down to Ocean Way, Nashville to cut another seven bedtracks in a couple weeks, so have lots of pre-production to get through.  Then three more weeks to cut all the overdubs  before mixing at Blackbird Studios, Nashville in June.

Producing Michelle Owen: We’re writing a very interesting record, akin to Duffy meets Fiona Apple.   Definitely NOT a  ‘vocoder pop’ approach, which some labels/radio seem to opt for these days.  Theirs is a short-sighted lunge for the bottom line, which isn’t working anyways [do you know ANYONE running out to buy that s@%$?].  Oops, I’m ranting.

Producing “the band formally known as” Constant Season: Calgary alt/pop/rock band.  Pre-production over the next three months, then tracking in July/August.  Mixes in the fall.  Who wants to master this recording?   Maybe LA is calling?  Montreal?

Producing Matt Morgan: New soul/pop/blues singer.  Two tracks in the works.  Marc Rogers [bass] and Gary Craig [drums] building the pocket.

Scoring: Ontario College of Teachers short films.  Simple, heart-warming accounts of teachers doing what they do best.

Post-production with Danny Deakin: backing tracks and radio meetings.

Behind the scenes supporting Erin Haley, anticipating the launch of “House on Fire.”

Amy Towers: Writing new material together, while enjoying the recently mastered versions of her first four songs.  Thanks to Adrian Carr, at AC Mastering, Montreal, for a stellar job with this project.
